Altova XMLSpy 2006
Altova XMLSpy 2006 is the industry standard XML development environment for modeling, editing, transforming, and debugging XML-related technologies. In addition to the world’s leading XML editor, XMLSpy includes the original graphical XML Schema editor, enabling you to design otherwise complex schemas with ease. It also includes a built in code generator that auto-generates Java, C++, or C# class files based on data elements defined in your schemas. New error handling and dynamic hyperlinking capabilities in its XML validator make correcting XML documents a breeze. XMLSpy 2006 includes a schema-aware XSLT processor, a unique step-by-step XSLT 1.0/2.0 debugger, and a new XSLT profiler for performance tuning your transformations. An XPath 1.0/2.0 analyzer assists in building and verifying XPath expressions. A schema-aware XQuery processor, an advanced XQuery debugger, and a new XQuery profiler facilitate efficient querying of XML data. XMLSpy supports all major relational databases: Microsoft Access, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, Sybase, IBM DB2, and others. You can connect to a database, generate an XML Schema from a database, import and export data based on database schemas, and generate databases from XML Schemas. XMLSpy offers advanced WSDL and SOAP capabilities, including WSDL file visualization, editing, and validation, SOAP request/response handling, and a SOAP debugger. COM and Java APIs let you access many of XMLSpy’s powerful features in a programmatic way. Optional integration of XMLSpy 2006 with Microsoft Visual Studio .NET or Eclipse allows you to seamlessly access XMLSpy views and XML tools from within these popular IDEs. XMLSpy 2006 is the ultimate productivity enhancer for.NET, Eclipse, J2EE, and database developers that need the latest XML, Web services, and database technologies

File Commander PRO for XMLSpy
Simply add File Commander PRO to the XMLSpy IDE as PlugIn to enhance the usability of the application with things like reloading opened files on startup, a history of opened files and an integrated file explorer. The PlugIn offers the following key features: File Explorer Tab: You can see the file details and you can browse the directory of the currently active document with one mouse click! Sorting on file name, size and modification date is supported. History Tab: A list of all opened files until now. Double clicking the list item opens the file in XMLSpy. You can also see if the file was modified since it was open in XMLSpy for the last time because the history also remembers the last date and time when it was open in XMLSpy. The list can be sorted on all columns. Details Tab: This tab shows the number and name of the XML elements and attributes of the current document if it is displayed using Grid or Authentic view. The number of elements and attributes is always updated in GridView. Settings Tab: Modify the behaviour of the PlugIn to fit your special requirements.

oXygen XML Editor, Schema Editor and XSLT Debugger 6.1
The simple and elegant look of the oXygen combined with the complete coverage of the XML editing features have made it popular in both the corporate and academic worlds. It provides the necessary tools for the document creation and presentation. The documents can be created and validated against any user defined schema. The smart context sensitive editing saves time and guarantees a minimum number of validation errors. The documents can be published in a wide range of formats including HTML, PDF, PostScript using the built-in or external processors. Developers can use oXygen for authoring document schemas and for editing and debugging the XSL stylesheets needed for the presentation layer. The integration with the document repositories is made through the WebDAV and FTP protocols. Oxygen is an XML Editor and XSLT Debugger written in Java with Unicode support. It offers end tag auto-completion and a powerful code insight. The code insight can follow a DTD or an XML Schema or even can learn the structure from a partial edited document. An important thing is manipulating XML content and XSLT is the normal way to do this. XML and XSL documents can be easily associated one with the other and the transformation results can be viewed as text or HTML. Oxygen XML Editor provides a visual schema editor for W3C XML Schema and Relax NG schema designed to simplify the development and understanding of the schema files. Oxygen validates XML, XSL and XSD content, reporting errors with description and line number information. More documents can be logically organized in projects. It comes with the latest Docbook DTD and stylesheets. Includes the Apache FO Processor, being able to generate PDF and PostScript. Other FO processors can be configured as plugins. Oxygen provides a special layout when entering in debugging mode to show the source and the stylesheet documents side by side and to show also the results and special debbuging views. Debugging and profiling can be done using Xalan 2.5.1, Saxon6.5.4 or Saxon8 transformation engines. All debugger capabilities are provided (step into, step over, step out, run, run to cursor, run to end, pause, stop). XPath expressions are evaluated automatically during debugging. The output is dynamically presented as it is generated by the transformation process. A complete diff and merge solution is also available in Oxygen. It offers both directory and file comparison, 6 file diff algorithms, multiple level diff support, synchronized scrolling and change guide lines, easy invocation of the diff action from project panel or from the editors' contextual menu. Oxygen provides support for importing database content, Microsoft Excel sheets and legacy text data files into XML documents.
