EDIFACT and XML Schema Tutorial

Description:UN/EDIFACT is commonly known as EDIFACT and stands for Electronic Data Interchange for Administration, Commerce and Transport. EDIFACT is the International EDI standard introduced by the United Nations Economic Commission. A new EDIFACT tutorial covers how to convert an EDIFACT data model to XML schema, so that it is compatible with new XML and Web service technologies. It then shows how to convert an EDI data file to XML, then, bringing it all together, demonstrates how to validate the converted EDI data using the generated XML Schema to ensure that the data is valid. The EDI/EDIFACT/x12 data converstion tools used in the tutorial are all part of the Stylus Studio XML IDE.
