The simple and elegant look of the oXygen combined with the complete coverage of the XML editing features have made it popular in both the corporate and academic worlds. It provides the necessary tools for the document creation and presentation.
The documents can be created and validated against any user defined schema. The smart context sensitive editing saves time and guarantees a minimum number of validation errors. The documents can be published in a wide range of formats including HTML, PDF, PostScript using the built-in or external processors. Developers can use oXygen for authoring document schemas and for editing and debugging the XSL stylesheets needed for the presentation layer. The integration with the document repositories is made through the WebDAV and FTP protocols.
Oxygen is an XML Editor and XSLT Debugger written in Java with Unicode support. It offers end tag auto-completion and a powerful code insight. The code insight can follow a DTD or an XML Schema or even can learn the structure from a partial edited document. An important thing is manipulating XML content and XSLT is the normal way to do this. XML and XSL documents can be easily associated one with the other and the transformation results can be viewed as text or HTML. Oxygen XML Editor provides a visual schema editor for W3C XML Schema and Relax NG schema designed to simplify the development and understanding of the schema files. Oxygen validates XML, XSL and XSD content, reporting errors with description and line number information. More documents can be logically organized in projects. It comes with the latest Docbook DTD and stylesheets. Includes the Apache FO Processor, being able to generate PDF and PostScript. Other FO processors can be configured as plugins. Oxygen provides a special layout when entering in debugging mode to show the source and the stylesheet documents side by side and to show also the results and special debbuging views. Debugging and profiling can be done using Xalan 2.5.1, Saxon6.5.4 or Saxon8 transformation engines. All debugger capabilities are provided (step into, step over, step out, run, run to cursor, run to end, pause, stop). XPath expressions are evaluated automatically during debugging. The output is dynamically presented as it is generated by the transformation process. A complete diff and merge solution is also available in Oxygen. It offers both directory and file comparison, 6 file diff algorithms, multiple level diff support, synchronized scrolling and change guide lines, easy invocation of the diff action from project panel or from the editors' contextual menu. Oxygen provides support for importing database content, Microsoft Excel sheets and legacy text data files into XML documents.

Syncro Soft Announces New Release of oXygen XML Editor, Schema Editor and XSLT Debugger.
Syncro Soft Ltd, the producer of oXygen XML Editor, has announced the immediate availability of Version 6.1 of its XML Editor, Schema Editor and XSLT Debugger.
Version 6.1 of the XML Editor adds as main features an XSLT profiler, enhanced XML Schema documentation, automatic detection of the XSLT parameters, RelaxNG annotation support and persistent bookmarks.
For the complete list of new features please visit http://www.oxygenxml.com/index.html#new-version on our website.
New in version 6.1:
oXygen XML Editor adds an XSLT profiler available from the debugger perspective. You can profile your XSLT stylesheets to identify the performance issues using two comprehensive data views of the activated templates: an Invocation tree view and a Hotspots view. The profiling information can be saved to XML or HTML formats. The profiling is available for the following XSLT processors: Saxon 6.5.4, Saxon 8B, and Xalan 2.5.1. Thus you can profile both XSLT 1.0 and XSLT 2.0 stylesheets.
XML Schema documentation was enhanced. It is possible to generate HTML documentation pages from XML Schema files. The documentation includes images representing the models for the elements, attributes, types, a.s.o. The documentation is easy obtained even for schemas that include or import other schemas. For large schemas a generate chunks option is available that will output each global schema component description (element, attribute, type, etc.) on a separate page.
A few improvements were made to the schema navigation with the show definition action that allows to follow a reference to its definition, to the schema diagrams support with the in place editing support.
The content completion support was enhanced by showing the annotations extracted from the Relax NG schema associated with the edited document. There are presented annotations for the elements, attributes and attribute values.
The bookmarks are now associated with the current project and are persistent between editing sessions. They are preserved even when the edited XML source is formatted by a format and indent operation.
The latest Xerces XML parser (2.7.0) from the Apache Foundation and the new Saxon 6.5.4 parser for XSLT 1.0 were integrated into oXygen.
Pricing and Availability
oXygen XML Editor and XSLT Debugger is available immediately in two editions:
Multi-platform Academic/Non-profit license costs USD 48.00
Multi-platform Professional license costs USD 148.00 (34% off from the list price) if you buy before August 1st, 2005.

This is a very cool example using VML to drive a car across a screen. Warning: This example will cause you to lose a lot of productive time just driving around. You will definitely want to view the source code of this example to see how it is done. Really amazing in it's simplicity. It was created by Hedger Wang who has created some truly amazing examples. A big thumbs up by the Head Geek.

XMLFox Advance is an intuitive xml and xml schema(XSD) editor, allows the xml developer to create schemas and show a visual representation of what the xml document will look like for that schema. XMLFox Advance XML/XSD tool is a sequel of the well-known world-leading XMLFox freeware XML/XSD Editor. Like its precursor, the XMLFox Advance has the same user-friendly interface. XMLFox Advance is an advanced XMLFox XML/XSD Editor with the following new attractive features:
It allows you to convert XML encoding. Especially from/to UTF-16. Let's say you have XML file with "utf-8" encoding. Now by using XMLFox Advance you can easily convert whole "utf-8" encoded XML to "utf-16" encoding and vise versa. There are several other encodings are supported.
The special interface on XML Tree view has been designed that allows modify XML record in a table/row representation in a Grid-style window.
XMLFox Advance supports Validation an XML against an XSD schema. XML content could be validated against an XSD schema located inside your XML and against an XSD schema located outside as well.
XMLFox Advance considers any XML file as a database. Since the XML is a database it has tables that are related to each other somehow. The tool provides Relationships interface window with the possibility to add/update/delete XML tables.
XMLFox Advance has a drop-down toolbar on Grid view pane. The following buttons are located on the toolbar:
Create new table
Table design
Print
Filter
The XMLFox Advance Filter interface helps you to display only those records in an XML table that match one or more criteria. For example, you want to see the products whose price is equal $50. Instead of opening the whole table in Grid view and scanning the entire list, you can apply a filter.
Font
Relationships
The XMLFox Advance allows you to browse the Relationships between tables in XML.
XMLFox Advance considers any XML file as a relational database. Since the XML is a database it has tables that are related to each other somehow. One of the strengths of a relational database is the ability to relate or associate information about various items in the database.
Convert to
In XMLFox Advance you can output data to several other data format files. The Editor allows you export XML tables or whole XML to the following data files: TXT; convert into CSV (Comma Separated Value) file, convert into HTML page, create MS Access database, and create Excel file.
When you export XML you have the following two options:
1. "Convert the current XML table only" that allows you export selected XML table.
2. "Export whole XML according to its structure"
XSL designer interface.
Besides editing and validating an XML document the XMLFox Advance allows you to generate special XSL document, which will accompany your final XML document with a template XSL style-sheet. Both of these files can be used for your further needs such as: web-applications, reports, presentations, and so on.
